Jørgen Friisberg
With a BSc from Copenhagen Business School and early career experience with two of Denmark's most renowned companies, Jørgen Friisberg became one of the earliest MBA students at INSEAD. He remained there on graduation, initially as Assistant Professor of Business Polidy and then as Director of Admissions. He then began his consulting career with McKinsey & Company in Paris, where he ultimately became Director of Administration.
In 1968 Jørgen left McKinsey to join the Executive Search firm Egon Zehnder as the Partner in Charge of the Nordic Region. Having accrued invaluable search experience he decided to start his own firm and J. Friisberg & Partners S.A. was created in Fribourg in Switzerland during the late autumn of 1977, with a branch office in Copenhagen.
The firm grew under his guidnace until in 1998 Jørgen retired, as Chairman. He remains Honorary Life President of Friisberg & Partners International, an International Executive Search Group now comprising over 100 entrepreneurial search professionals with 33 offices in 22 countries, across Europe and beyond.
